Tip #1

Buy 1”x 6” x 12’ clear Poplar and using a table saw rip into 6   ¾” x ¾” x 12’ strips. This can save you at least $25.00 compared to buying pre-cut strips.

Tip #2

Take the time to view all 3 videos before construction. This will make building your Kano-Yak so much easier with fewer mistakes and will be more fun. VIEW HERE

Tip #3

Always take the time to double-check your measurements. This will help stop waste material.

Tip #4

Pre-drill and countersink each screw during assembling the frame. Do not over-tighten screws or wood my split.

Tip #5

When making 90-degree corner moldings, be sure to crimp the bend very tight. This will help to make boat less likely to leak and also look cleaner.
